Founded in 1916, Ryokan Sawaya Honten has grown from a tiny wooden house into a larger, renovated building that has been extended and remodeled little by little, and has been blessed with the warmth of many guests. Located next to Kyoto University and Kyoto University Hospital, the Ryokan has long been favored by students, researchers, and hospital guests, and has also been used by many students on school trips to Kyoto.
